Simplified enrollment for access to higher education. Process can be done online

The simplification of this process results from the approval of the Presidential Decree that partially changes the General Regulation on Access to Higher Education, says the Government, in a statement to which VerAngola had access.

At the end of the 7th ordinary session of the Council of Ministers, held this Wednesday, the minister of Higher Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, Maria do Rosário Sambo, said that the measure aims to adjust access to this educational subsystem to the process of reform and simplification of procedures in progress in the Public Administration, as well as clarifying and updating the composition of the National Commission for Access to Higher Education.

"It is no longer necessary to present the passport-type photograph. There is also no need to present the document that proves the regularization of the military situation, nor the tax identification number", said the minister, making it known even when registering for the entrance exam, the candidate can only present a photocopy of the certificate with grades from the second cycle of secondary education or equivalent, and at the time of enrollment, if admitted, deliver the original certificate. In the absence of this authentic document, the admission process is cancelled.

In this context, only copies of the identity card, the certificate of qualifications for the second cycle of secondary education or equivalent and the registration form are requested. To avoid crowding and speed up the process, online registration is recommended.

Regarding the updating of the composition of the National Commission for Access to Higher Education, Minister Maria do Rosário Sambo said that the national director of the Institute for Assessment and Accreditation and Recognition of Higher Education Studies will be replaced by the director of the Ministry of Education's Inspection Office Superior, Science, Technology and Innovation.

Also in the field of higher education, the Council of Ministers approved the Paradigm for the Internal Organization of Executive Services and Grouped Support Services of Public Higher Education Institutions.

This document will allow the re-dimensioning of the internal structure of these institutions, in order to harmonize and rationalize services and reduce expenses with the reduction of grouped executive and support services.
