"Belize, Buco Zau, Cagongo and Cabinda are among the municipalities that will win the construction of social housing," can be read in a statement posted on Facebook by the Ministry of Public Works and Spatial Planning.
According to the note, the municipalities of Belize, Buco Zau and Cacongo will have, each one, a total of 420 houses, which are divided into 300 houses and 120 apartments, all of typology T3.
Cabinda will have the biggest slice: "The municipality of Cabinda will have a bigger number of social houses, more than two thousand and respective infrastructures".
Quoted in the communiqué, Manuel Tavares de Almeida expressed satisfaction with the joint work being done between Cabinda and his ministry.
"We are working closely with the Provincial Government of Cabinda. Since this is a land planning instrument it was necessary to reach agreements, something that we have already achieved with Belize, Buco Zau and Cacongo," said the minister.
According to the note, the project, which is aligned to the National Development Plan, "counted on a broad collection of contributions and consultation with local authorities, a strategy that avoided the collision of the project with the habits and customs of each people and municipality.
"The project is being financed by PIIM, has already had its start and the companies are already contracted," added the governor.
In his turn, the provincial governor of Cabinda, Marcos Alexandre Nhunga, classified the project as the beginning of a new era that comes to respond to the desires of the population of that area and of the young people in acquiring their own homes.
"We want to thank the coming to Cabinda province of the delegation of the Ministry of Public Works and Territorial Planning and technical teams of architects and civil engineers to provide better alignment and understanding reached in terms of localities, where the projects that will bring satisfaction to the people of Cabinda are being implemented," he said, quoted by Angop.
