Turkish entrepreneurs announce investment in fertilizer factory in Angola

Turkey will move ahead with construction of a fertilizer factory in Angola. The information was advanced by Rya Bayegan, chairman of the Board of Directors of the Turkish group Summa, who admitted that the investment will increase the production of fertilizers, thus promoting food production.

Rya Bayegan acknowledged that the fertilizer factory will bring advantages to Angola, highlighting the reduction of imports. The official explained that half of the fertilizers used by Angola in agriculture to produce food are imported, considering that a fertilizer factory will be an asset in this sense.

Besides the fertilizer unit, the Turkish businessman pointed out that they also have their eyes set on the hotel sector. Cited by Angop, the responsible said there is interest in investing in the construction of a hotel that has, among several aspects, a conference room in order to simplify future foreign investments in Angola.

Speaking at the end of a meeting with the president of the Board of Administration of the Private Investment and Export Promotion Agency (AIPEX), António Henriques, the businessman admitted that Angola has many potentialities to invest.

António Henriques, also cited by Angop, considered the visit of the Turkish businessmen to Angola as a positive sign, admitting that this is the first step to reach great opportunities: "We think that this is the first step to great business opportunities for the country".

The responsible of AIPEX also made known that the projects presented by the Turkish businessmen meet the Government programs.
