According to the epidemiological bulletin of the National Directorate of Public Health, the deaths were reported in the provinces of Namibe (5), Lunda Norte (3), Lunda Sul (3) and the provinces of Bié, Huila and Luanda with one death each.
The province of Lunda Norte, eastern Angola, recorded the highest number of new cases in that period, 30 in total, followed by the provinces of Huila (23), Luanda (20), Namibe (5), Lunda Sul (2), Malanje (2) and the same number in Moxico.
The laboratories processed, in 24 hours, 1178 samples by RT-PCR. The cumulative points to 856,091 samples processed with a positivity rate of 5.2 percent.
Angola, which for more than a year has been in a state of public calamity to contain the spread of the virus, totals 44,617 positive cases of covid-19, 1100 deaths, 41,482 recovered and 2035 active cases.
