At the conference, Miguel Baptista is expected to analyse "the importance of accelerating Angolanisation efforts to develop local teams with know-how that will support the needs of the industry in all oil and gas cycles," according to a statement sent to VerAngola.
The note further reports that the Schlumberger managing director is expected to "lead critical discussions about the potential opportunities within oilfield services operations in the Angolan industry."
"We are honored to have Mr. Baptista join AOG 2021 to share his rich experience as an oilfield services provider in Angola over the years. Schlumberger plays an important role in Angola's local content strategy, and we are certain that Mr. Baptista will lead crucial discussions on the path to Angolanization of the industry during AOG 2021," said João Gaspar Marques, Director of International Conferences for Energy Capital & Power (ECP), the organizer of AOG 2021.
