The incident occurred on Sunday, in the commune of Ambuiva, in the municipality of Seles, when one of the children, upon encountering the mill, called his friends to play, causing his explosion to hit.
According to the clinical director of Hospital Geral de 17 de Setembro, Faria Lucas, the children were admitted to the emergency room with serious injuries, two of whom were in intensive care.
Faria Lucas, who was speaking on public radio, said that one of the children has lesions at the level of the eyeball, having been transferred to the province of Benguela, to a referral hospital, "depending on their clinical condition".
The doctor explained that "another child had serious injuries in the chest area" and "one also had several intestinal perforations" caused by the explosive device, both of whom are in intensive care.
