According to a statement sent by the airline to VerAngola, this benefit is valid for all premium and economy class types, and is applicable to international and domestic flights operated by TAAG (with the exception of the Cabinda route). Interline or codeshare flights operated by partner airlines are also excluded.
To benefit from this rate, the sports federation must submit a formal request, on letterhead and with an official stamp, containing the athletes' identification and proof of their institutional affiliation, according to TAAG.
The passenger's passport must be presented when issuing the ticket. The request process must be completed directly at TAAG offices. Tickets may only be issued at the airline's official stores; tickets issued through travel agencies are not permitted.
It should be noted that the discount does not apply to fees, additional charges, taxes, fuel surcharges, excess baggage, or any other additional fees. In the event of date changes, fare differences and other applicable fees will be charged. This policy cannot be combined with other promotions, nor with reduced fares for children or infants, the company adds.
With this measure, TAAG says it intends to reinforce its commitment to the promotion and development of sports, "providing special conditions so that athletes can represent Angola, benefiting from greater convenience and ease in purchasing tickets."
