Comprising 15 fully equipped vehicles, the delegation will cover a total of 2800 kilometers, passing through seven provinces: Luanda, Malanje, Zaire, Huambo, Uíge, Cuanza Sul, and Icolo e Bengo.
Among the 'wonders' to be explored by the more than 30 tourists (including Angolans and Portuguese) are the Kifangondo Memorial, Massangano, Ebo, and Rei do Bailundo. According to Ricardo Fernandes, head of the delegation, the itinerary also includes stops in Kalandula, Mpungo a Ndongo, and the Nzenzu Caves, among others.
Quoted by Angop, Fernandes reported that approximately 12 people are participating in the route for the first time, three of whom are visiting the country for the first time.
Ricardo Fernandes said they are prepared for any difficulties that may arise along the route, but there is a need to enhance communication routes, tourist attractions, and lodging.
On that occasion, he also emphasized that Angola has immeasurable tourism potential, which serves as an invitation for Angolans and foreigners alike.
Portuguese traveler Marta Durán stated that she will capture photographs, testimonials, and other details to share in her country and on her social media.
Traveling to Angola for the first time on this trip, the tourist said that the country has been on her tourist agenda for a long time, but that opportunities to visit it had never arisen, writes Angop.
