Promoted by the Municipal Administration of Luanda, last Sunday, this first edition of the itinerary aimed, among other aspects, at "greater promotion of the tourist component of the municipality, as it plays a fundamental pillar for development", says a statement from the Municipal Administration of Luanda, the that VerAngola had access to.
A total of 150 residents, including employees and civil society entities, participated in the itinerary, having discovered "the history, its cultural gastronomy", as well as the "main tourist attractions in downtown Luanda".
In addition, they also "took note of the positive results" of several programs carried out by the Provincial Government of Luanda, namely the Luanda afforestation program (PAL), the traffic planning program (POT) and the trade reordering program (PRC).
"Being the administrative, financial and political center of the country, with a very strong cultural, hotel and tourism focus, the Luanda Municipal Administration intends with this initiative to contribute to attracting more and more national and foreign citizens to local tourism, thus fulfilling the guidelines of the Ministry of Tourism, with regard to the involvement of the various areas of central and local government action", says the note from the municipal administration.
