According to a statement from the Embassy of Angola in Nigeria, to which VerAngola had access, the Angolan stood out with the creation, in 2019, of the 'Insónia Vocacional' project, which aimed to "awaken the talent of 100 young Angolans from the municipality of Viana to face the challenges of training and empowerment".
Regarding the award, Zinga Suama considered that it has significant importance for her entrepreneurial career, as it "increases her visibility" and the country's.
Quoted in the statement, she said it was "professional recognition" in the areas in which she operates, reinforcing her commitment and valuing the work she has completed to date.
"It is professional recognition in the areas I work in (diplomacy and social entrepreneurship). It reinforces the commitment and value of the work I have carried out so far and is a personal motivation for the continuity of social projects that have greatly benefited our communities in addition to being an instrument of appreciation and advancement in my diplomatic career", she said.
But who is Zinga Suama after all? The Angolan has a master's degree in Global Studies and International Relations, as well as a degree in Human Resources Management.
Her CV includes eight years of experience working in civil society organizations in the areas of civic engagement, peace and security focused on human resources, and, according to the statement, "she works on a contract basis at the headquarters of the African Union in Addis Ababa".
