João Lourenço praises, in his message addressed to the Cape Verdean President, the democratic achievements achieved by Cape Verde and highlights “the certainty that Angola will continue to work in conjunction with efforts to strengthen relations of cooperation and friendship between the two peoples and countries ”.
Cape Verde officially became independent from Portugal on July 5, 1975.
