This is the Wiliete University Clinic, which will offer a diverse range of services. According to a video released by the clinic, which VerAngola had access to, the infrastructure has 30 beds for inpatient care, pediatrics, an emergency room, consultation rooms, an inpatient room, an operating room, an imaging room, a meeting room and a X-ray.
The director of the provincial Health office, António Manuel Cabinda – one of those present at the ceremony and who after the inauguration visited the infrastructure – applauded the initiative, which admitted that it was a relevant gain for health at the level of Benguela.
"Our congratulations to the FAW group for this very notable initiative and we consider it a very important gain", he stated, adding: "As you know, the public sector alone is not enough to respond to all the health concerns of our population".
The president of the Board of Directors (PCA) of the FAW group, Wilson Faria, highlighted the importance of this venture.
"This project, within our social responsibility, consists of increasingly bringing health services closer to the citizen, as well as meeting the technical, technological and practical components of two important educational institutions in our province, the Wiliete Private Polytechnic Institute and the Instituto Superior Politécnico Ombaka", he pointed out, adding that, in the coming years, the aforementioned initiative is expected to create 500 jobs.
He also said that FAW intends to reach 2030 direct jobs by 2030: "By the year 2030, our vision is to reach 2030 direct jobs. It's a challenge, it's a fight, we're counting on everyone".
In turn, Elienet da Silva, clinical director of the aforementioned institution, made it known that they have a doctor in each specialty, as well as a fully equipped ambulance, among other services, adding that they will "be focused on the community" and, therefore, will provide "a quality service at low prices".
Initially, the clinic has six doctors and 10 nurses.
