According to the ambassador, the process of negotiating the parks to be included in the project is currently underway.
In statements during a visit to the Cangandala National Park (Malanje), cited by Angop, the diplomat explained that this is considered a pilot project, which will initially benefit only four parks in the country, including Quissama.
On the occasion, she also took the opportunity to recognize the significant efforts made by the Government to prevent the disappearance and protect the Giant Palanca Negra, which can only be found in the province of Malanje.
At another point – part of a working day that a delegation of ambassadors, headed by Rosário Bento Pais, began on Sunday in Malanje – the ambassador said that Portuguese, Spanish, Dutch, French, Romanian and Belgian businessmen want to invest in the province of Malanje, more specifically in the fields of agriculture, tourism and education.
Speaking at the end of a meeting with representatives from the embassies of Belgium, Romania, the Netherlands, France, Spain and Portugal and with the governor of Malanje, Marcos Nhunga, the diplomat highlighted that the potential of the region, with arable land and water availability highlighted, caught the attention of potential investors, writes Angop.
On the occasion, she also highlighted that cereal production is fundamental to strengthening food security in Angola, and that countries such as the Netherlands, Portugal, Belgium and France already have investments in the agricultural sector.
António Santa Maria, representative of the Spanish embassy in Angola, stated that Spain wants to make Malanje the country's main tourist destination, through investments, despite also having projects in the energy sector, while Nicolas Maiselares, head of the French embassy in Angola, cited by Angop, advanced the likelihood of new investments in the field of education , with the expansion of Eiffel high schools in the country.
Recognizing the EU's support for Angola, through the execution of several social projects for the benefit of citizens, Marcos Nhunga, governor of Malanje, requested more investments to help with the region's socioeconomic progress.
