AEP returns to the country's capital with the aforementioned delegation, in partnership with the Agency for Investment and Foreign Trade of Portugal (AICEP) and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Portugal – Angola (CCIPA) to participate in the 39th edition of the FILDA, which takes place between the 23rd and 28th of July, in the Special Economic Zone.
In a statement, AEP states that it is participating in the event for the 11th time and considers this an opportunity for Portuguese companies to consolidate their presence in the Angolan market and strengthen commercial relations between Luanda and Lisbon.
For the chairman of the board of directors of AEP, Luís Miguel Ribeiro, despite the challenging times that Angola is experiencing, the business association believes that the resilience of the Angolan economy puts it on the path to recovery, "which will positively impact the almost five thousand companies that export to the country".
The sectors of machinery and equipment, chemical products, base metals, food products and agricultural products lead the ranking of the most exported products from Portugal to Angola, the note highlights.
This edition of FILDA 2024, the largest business exchange in Angola, organized by the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, coincides with the first official visit of the Portuguese Prime Minister, Luís Montenegro, who, in addition to participating in the Angola – Portugal Economic Forum, is expected to visit the Portugal pavilion at the event.
