According to a press release from the company, this is the first time that this fair will be docked in Angolan waters.
"Logos Hope, the largest floating book fair in the world, is coming to Luanda, Angola, for the first time in the history of Logos Hope", the note reads.
The book fair will offer "a varied selection of more than 5000 different book titles at affordable prices", such as science, sport, hobbies, cooking, arts, medicine, languages and faith.
"With children's titles, academic texts, dictionaries, atlases and much more, the book fair is something the whole family can enjoy", points out the company, adding that the team is made up of around 350 volunteers from 65 different nationalities, whose main objective "is to share knowledge, help and hope".
"The rest of the visitor experience deck is also open to the public to explore, from the welcome area, which introduces the ship through a short film and interactive exhibits, to the international cafe, which has ice creams, drinks and snacks for sale", the statement said.
The official opening of the fair is scheduled for the 26th of this month, starting at 2 pm, at the Port of Luanda, and will be open to the public from the following day.
Thus, interested parties will be able to visit the ship that will be docked at the Port of Luanda between the 27th of July and the 1st of August.
The fair, according to the statement, will be open between 10am and 8pm from Monday to Saturday. While on Sunday the opening hours will be between 1pm and 8pm.
Tickets cost 500 kwanzas, with the last ticket being sold at 7pm. Children up to 12 years old and adults over 65 years old have free entry.
After stopping in Angola, Logos Hope will continue to Ghana, the note also points out.
