President of the Republic accredits six new ambassadors

The President of the Republic accredited, this Wednesday, six new ambassadors appointed to carry out duties in Angola.

The ceremony took place this Wednesday morning, in the Noble Hall of the Presidential Palace, according to a note from the Presidency of the Republic, which VerAngola had access to.

"In a ceremony that took place this Wednesday morning in the Main Hall of the Presidential Palace, in Cidade Alta, the President of the Republic, João Lourenço, received letters from six new extraordinary and plenipotentiary Ambassadors who, as of today, will carry out functions of heads of diplomatic missions in Angola", reads the note.

These are diplomats representing Uganda (Julius Chihandae Katembeka), Turkey (Ufuk Ekici), Vietnam (Duong Chinh Chuc), Cape Verde (Júlio César Freire de Morais), Senegal (Malik Ndao) and the United Arab Emirates (Salem Ali Khamis Obeid Al Shamsi).

According to the note, the ambassadors will all reside in Luanda.

The ceremony, adds the note, was witnessed by "four Ministers of State (Economic Coordination, Head of the Civil House, Head of the Military House and the Social Area), the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Secretaries of the President of the Republic, in addition to staff from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs linked to different geopolitical areas".
