PR receives president of Exim Bank of the USA with cooperation at the center of the meeting

The president of the Export-Import Bank of the United States of America (USA), Exim Bank, Reta Jo Lewis, was received, this Monday, by the President of the Republic, João Lourenço, in an audience dominated by the cooperation between the two countries.

Speaking to the press at the end of the meeting, the official informed that she discussed with the President of the Republic "the state of execution of projects under way in Angola and which have the participation of Exim Bank", refers a note from the Presidency of the Republic, which VerAngola had access.

On the occasion, Reta Jo Lewis, quoted in the note, mentioned the solar energy project, estimated at 900 million dollars, as being "just one of the examples of cooperation with the Angolan authorities and which dates back several years".

This financing of 900 million dollars directed towards the field of solar energy, was seen as the largest operation carried out by the bank, until then, in the field of renewable energy, within the scope of the Biden government's support for infrastructure and general investments, whose situation was considered by the person in charge as evidence of the stability of the collaboration and of the relations that exist between both countries, writes Angop.
