Long-Term Strategy Angola 2050 is completed “at a technical level” and will be reviewed this Friday

The Angola 2050 Long-Term Strategy has been completed at a “technical level”, informed the Secretary of State for Planning, Milton Reis. The document will again be considered by the Economic Commission of the Council of Ministers, in a session scheduled for this Friday.

"The Angola 2050 long-term strategy, the document has been concluded at a technical level. It will be reviewed at the Economic Commission of the Council of Ministers, tomorrow, July 14, 2023", said the Secretary of State, quoted by Rádio National of Angola (RNA).

According to the official, there were several contributions collected during the public consultation, of which more than 70 percent were included in the strategy. "It was possible to collect more than 450 contributions to the document, of which more than 70 percent were accepted and incorporated into the final document", he said, quoted by RNA.

With regard to the axes of the document, Milton Reis informed that axis one was the "which received the most contributions".

"The axis that received the most contributions was axis one, related to having a society that values and enhances its human capital, with around 54 percent of the contributions, followed by axis three, which has to do with having a diversified and prosperous economy, which had about 24 percent of the total, followed by axes two, five and axis four", he said, quoted by RNA.
