The official was speaking this Tuesday at a press conference in Luanda on preparations for the 38th edition of the Luanda International Fair, which will take place between 18 and 22 July in the Special Economic Zone (ZEE).
"Situations of economic imbalances we have already witnessed in the past and the executive has never stopped taking measures to counteract trends that we may have in situations of the kind", he underlined, pointing as an example the covid-19 pandemic, when economic relief measures were prepared.
"The executive is preparing and, at the right time, he will also talk about short-term measures to safeguard and mitigate the imbalance", he announced.
Ivan Santos highlighted among the reasons for the current situation the "very large" impact on oil revenues that the decrease in oil production had, which was reflected in tax revenues.
"We will continue to meet the expectations of our businessmen, who trust the executive's economic measures", he continued, pointing to Filda as an example of that confidence, taking into account that the number of exhibitors has doubled in this edition.
"It is a sign that our businessmen continue to trust us", he reinforced.
"At the opportune moment (the executive) will pronounce on what he is doing to address the concerns of our businessmen, of our investors", said Ivan dos Santos, adding that the Government continues to position itself with economic measures, regardless of the exchange rate issue.
