On the occasion, the governor added that they must "continue to insist that if" they have a primary health service that "effectively" responds to people, they will be "creating a better capacity for intermediate hospitals and general hospitals to respond to the demand that today he has".

"We have this challenge of continuing to provide privileged attention to primary health services, we have to continue to insist that if we have a primary health service that effectively responds to citizens, we will be creating better capacity in intermediate hospitals and general hospitals in respond to the demand they have today", he pointed out.

Manuel Homem considered that this is possible "with work" and "commitment", stating that the Capalanga unit should serve as an example for "the other hospitals" in the province.

"This is achieved with work, with commitment and this example of Capalanga should also serve the other hospitals in the province of Luanda in relation to the need to continue to care for people with quality, with humanization and I think that if we succeed in Capalanga we must succeed certainly in other hospitals in the province of Luanda", he added.

According to a note from the Government of the Province of Luanda (GPL), to which VerAngola had access, the said hospital "is receiving work to improve its infrastructure, with a view to providing greater comfort to patients, as well as intensifying actions of humanization of services".

In addition to Capalanga, the governor also visited the Municipal Hospital of Zango II which, according to another note from the GPL, has "a capacity for more than 200 beds, whose average daily care is limited to around 1100 patients", providing services such as "pediatrics, emergency room, maternity, outpatient consultations and laboratory".

Illegal occupation of land in the capital has its days numbered

Also this Thursday, Manuel Homem also visited the facilities of the Unified Command Post (PCU). According to another communiqué from the GPL, which VerAngola had access to, at the time, the governor said that "the conditions to install the fundamental support and operational teams of the Unified Command Post in the province of Luanda have been created".

According to the note, the PCU concerns "an initiative that is being resumed to provide an immediate response to the concerns of illegal occupations and matters that have to do with land use in the most targeted municipalities, such as Viana, Talatona, Cacuaco, Belas and Icolo and Bengo".

It should be noted that this post will eliminate "the difficulties of articulation between the entities and will contain representation of the State bodies that intervene in matters of prevention and resolution of this type of litigation".
