Azule Energy advances with investment of two billion in gas production

Adriano Mongini, executive director of Azule Energy, took advantage of the company's presence at FILDA to advance that the joint venture's investment forecasts are around two billion a year and should focus on oil and gas production projects.

:

The investment period is around three years (36 months), and the manager explained that the amounts will be invested in the new gas consortium and in the Agogo projects.

To Angop, Mongini considered that this is an ambitious initiative, pointing the production of the first non-associated gas to July 2026, confirming that this is "the first non-associated gas production project in Angola".

He referred that there are still business partnerships in the area of decarborization, and Azule Energy will support Sonangol in the Luanda Refinery project, with a view to installing a green refinery.

It should be remembered that Azule Energy is an independent joint venture, founded between BP and ENI Angola in August 2022. In this way, it has become the largest independent oil producer in the country, with two billion barrels of oil equivalent in liquid resources, a number that it intends to increase taking into account an estimated production of 250 thousand barrels per day over the next five years.

The company has stakes in two dozen licenses, six of which in exploration blocks and a stake in Angola LNG, being the operator of the Novo Consórcio de Gás.

He also took over ENI's stake in Solenova, a company dedicated to the development, execution and operation of renewable energy projects owned jointly with Sonangol.
