According to a note from the Presidency of the Republic, to which VerAngola had access, in the message he sent to French President Emmanuel Macron, João Lourenço highlights "the central position that France has occupied throughout the history of building the current world system, in which democracy and the freedom of peoples are defended".
The head of state says that this position "makes the French Republic an unavoidable actor at the heart of the main issues in global impact".
Furthermore, according to the note, João Lourenço also underlined the high level of relations that characterizes the two countries and reiterated the desire to strengthen exchanges between the key sectors of the economies of both countries, with a view to contributing to an ever-increasing cooperation more advantageous "with tangible and reciprocal benefits".
