The semifinal gala that would give way to the final of the program was scheduled to take place in March of last year, but ended up being postponed due to the covid-19 pandemic, and only took place last Sunday.
At the end of the performance, the jury did not spare any compliments to the Angolan's performance.
Sofia Escobar, who is part of the jury panel, was incredulous with the performance: "I have no adjectives to describe this, I don't know what to say, it's so spectacular.
"I think you are an artist from head to toe, you deserve to be on the stages of the world," she added.
For his part, Manuel Moura dos Santos, another of the jurors, spoke of the young man's evolution from the audition to this moment, saying that the Angolan has managed to transform his performance "into a performance."
"You are to be congratulated and I hope people vote and put you in the final because in fact this was a very beautiful performance," he said.
