Turkey interested in processing tropical fruits from Angola

Turkey has shown interest in processing tropical fruits from Angola. The information was advanced by the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry, António Francisco de Assis, who added that the Turks also have in their sights the areas of forestry and fisheries.

The Turks "are very strong in the food processing industry," he considered.

Cited by Rádio Nacional de Angola (RNA), the holder of the Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry portfolio said that the country asked Turkey "the question that a good part of these foods could be produced in Angola.

The minister explained that Turkey does not produce internally all the food it processes and that this way can be an added value for both countries: "They also do not produce internally all the food they process, they also import from other places, and this way we found a way that can be very favorable for both countries.

António Francisco de Assis also made it known that the Turks also have in their sights the areas of forestry and fishing: "We had a meeting with the Turkish Minister of Commerce and, naturally, he showed us this interest, not only in the area of agricultural production, but also in the forestry and fishing areas.

The minister indicated that the interest was received with "great satisfaction", adding that now it is necessary to "prepare the teams (...) to give substance to the understandings" reached.
