After taking office, conferred by the President of the Republic, the diplomat said he would work to strengthen cooperation ties with Ghana, in order to attract private investment to Angola and improve the country's current economic situation.
"Ghana is a country that already has economic stability, its GDP already exceeds that of Angola, let's see how we can cooperate and attract private investment not only from Ghana, but from other countries that already invest in that country," he said.
The ambassador also expressed interest in strengthening political and cultural cooperation.
The Head of State wished success in the role that the diplomat is now playing and reiterated the importance of bringing cooperation ties between the two African countries together.
"Ghana is a country on the west coast of Africa, with very good references in terms of political and social stability, good levels of economic development and has always maintained deep historical ties with our country. Therefore, what we expect from you is that you will help us to strengthen even more these same ties, to bring the two countries and their economies closer together in the interests of both peoples", said João Lourenço, in a statement that VerAngola had access to.
