This fund's main objective is to support authors and artists who have seen their activities stalled in this pandemic phase. With an initial value of 10 million kwanzas, it will have three ambassadors, who will manage the application of the amount over a period of two years.
The first project of this Culture Fund is the 'Cartão da Arte'. This presents itself as a supermarket card, provided by SADIA, for the purchase of essential goods and food, explains the society on its Facebook page.
"These cards will be delivered to our authors and artists who need it most, in order to help them with their monthly costs, so that they can support themselves during this very difficult phase", they refer.
The value of the cards offered can vary between 25,000 and 50,000 kwanzas, and in this first phase the cards will have a 'validity' of three months, being automatically recharged on a monthly basis. If the pandemic continues, and the artists remain without activities, SADIA will define new phases.
The card will be officially launched on the 8th of July, and those interested should fill out a form available on the company's website.
The intention of the project is to support between 1000 and 4000 authors and artists.
