The exams are held nationwide. According to a statement from the ministry, to which VerAngola had access, "the national certification exams for all 12th grade students across the country began this Thursday, the 26th".
The Portuguese Language exam was held between 9:00 am and 11:00 am this Thursday.
According to the exam schedule, released by the ministry and to which VerAngola had access, the Biology and Philosophy exams are also scheduled to be held on the 27th and 30th of June respectively, both starting at 9:00 am.
The Mathematics exam will take place on the 1st of July (9:00 am), while the English exam will take place on the 2nd (9:00 am).
The Geology, French, Chemistry and Physics exams will take place on the 3rd, 4th, 7 and 8th of July respectively, all at 9:00 am.
The schedule also includes the exams for History (June 27); Introduction to Economics (July 1); Geography (July 3) and Introduction to Law (July 7). All exams start at 9 am.
The Minister of Education, according to a statement from the ministry to which VerAngola had access, witnessed the start of the exams, having gone to the Garcia Neto high school, "where she witnessed the opening of the envelopes containing the exam papers". Luísa Grilo also addressed the students, appealing "for confidence, responsibility and serenity in taking the exams, stressing that education remains the main tool for personal development and social progress in the country".
