After the team led by Portuguese coach Pedro Gonçalves won the competition for the second time in a row, João Lourenço did not hide his satisfaction with the performance of the Angolan team on the African continent.
"I congratulate the senior men's national football team for their victory this afternoon over their South African counterparts, which crowned a remarkable run in the recent edition of the Cosafa Cup. My congratulations go to the coaching staff, who guided our brave boys in the best possible way, and also to the Angolan Football Federation team", he said.
It was the second trophy in a row for the Angolans and the fifth in total, in a competition that brings together teams from the south of the African continent.
