On that occasion, according to a statement from the government of the province of Luanda (GPL) to which VerAngola had access, the governor visited nine critical points, with a focus on Rua do Ulengo.
"During the visit to Camama, the governor visited nine critical points, with a focus on Rua do Ulengo, which connects 11 de Novembro to Calemba II and which will become part of the provincial government's projects, with works scheduled for the coming months", the note reads.
Luís Nunes said that there is already a budget for the requalification of the Ulengo road, announcing that the works will begin in September.
"The governor also informed that there is already a budget for the requalification of the Ulengo road and that the works will begin within three months", the note says.
In addition, the governor also announced the creation of a Municipal Command to "strengthen security".
According to the GLP, the municipality "still lacks a municipal hospital, a registry office and more public schools to serve around 7000 children outside the education system".
During his visit, Luís Nunes also listened to the civil society of Camama. "During the meeting, residents expressed concerns about the poor condition of the main access roads, basic sanitation networks, public lighting, and requested that health, education, civil registry and public safety services be strengthened", the GPL points out in another statement to which VerAngola had access.
"After listening carefully to the concerns of the residents, the provincial governor, Luís Manuel da Fonseca Nunes, reaffirmed the GPL's commitment to working in coordination with the municipal administration of Camama and social partners, in order to ensure participatory, inclusive management focused on the well-being of the communities", the note reads.
