According to Luís Fernando, Secretary to the President of the Republic for Institutional Communication and Press Affairs, the Head of State will work in Cazombo "throughout the day with local authorities and, of course, also with the government officials who will accompany him from the capital".

The highlight of this, which is his first visit to Moxico Leste – a province recently created with the New Administrative Division – will be witnessing the start of the construction of Cazombo's infrastructure.

"The most important and also most symbolic fact of this mission will be to be on site, to see exactly where the construction process of the city of Cazombo, the future capital of the province of Moxico Leste, will begin", said Luís Fernando, clarifying that this Friday will be the day to witness "the start of the construction of infrastructure that will transform the current town of Cazombo into a city with the same name and with the status of provincial capital".

Quoted in a video released by CIPRA and to which VerAngola had access, the secretary also revealed that João Lourenço is also expected to visit "the physical space where a field hospital and a photovoltaic park will be set up".

The governor of Moxico Leste, Crispiniano dos Santos, indicated that improving the areas of health, education, energy, water and communications is the priority of the provincial government.

"The work is hard and we have already started. The population of the region will see better days and we want to count on the effort of all ministerial secretariats, given that the task is combined", he said.

Speaking within the scope of the head of state's visit to the aforementioned province, the governor said that Moxico Leste has several potentialities, highlighting arable land, fauna and natural resources that can boost the economy at a local level, as well as provide employment opportunities for young people, writes Angop.

"We are open to working, creating more infrastructure linked to the education, health and other sectors, as well as boosting our economy and developing tourism here in the region," he said.
