According to a statement from the Municipal Administration of Viana, to which VerAngola had access, on Tuesday, the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights in partnership with the Ministry of Health visited some hospitals in that municipality, whose visit was aimed at promoting opening of new registration posts.
"The Ministry of Justice and Human Rights in partnership with the Ministry of Health carried out, on Tuesday, June 25, a visit to the hospitals of Zango II, Capalanga, Mãe Jacinta Paulino, Ana Paula, as well as the Uanhanga Xito hospital, within the scope of the civil registration mass program and attribution of Identity Cards, called 'Registo ao Nascer'", the note reads.
According to Vicentina Vera Cruz, coordinator of the Nascer com Registo program, cited in the note, the visit aimed to "promote the opening of new civil registration posts in health units, ensuring that all children aged between zero and five have immediate access to civil registration simplified and, subsequently, the Identity Card".
The aforementioned program, the note adds, "reinforces the commitment" to ensure that "all citizens, from birth, are registered, thus promoting fundamental rights and access to full citizenship".
