The minister highlighted the signing of agreements between the two countries, pointing out that the number of documents – expected to be signed 17 agreements – reflects the interest that the two presidents want to attribute to the aforementioned partnership.

Thus, cited by Angop, he emphasized the fact that the head of state was accompanied by a large delegation made up of ministerial officials, as well as the ambitious agenda organized by the authorities of Côte d'Ivoire, with a view to formalizing this agreement.

According to Téte António, the two sides have collaborated to boost cooperation, exemplifying the agreement signed in March that aims to eliminate visas in diplomatic and service passports.

However, the minister said it was necessary to work on implementing these agreements, as it must be recognized that the answers to African problems are on the African continent.

Téte António also highlighted that Côte d'Ivoire is a "turntable" for the economy of the western region and the country is no different from this scenario, so it is necessary to implement these agreements, with emphasis on the opening of the air connection between Angola and Abidjan, writes Angop.

Furthermore, the holder of the Foreign Affairs portfolio also considered that the tribute to the President of the Republic as an honorary citizen of Abidjan, upon receiving the key to the city, is highly symbolic given that it portrays the people of Angola.

The President of the Republic, who begins a two-day visit to Côte d'Ivoire this Thursday, is already in Abidjan. João Lourenço arrived in Ivory Coast late this Wednesday afternoon, where he was received by his Ivorian counterpart.

"The Head of State received a warm welcome at Félix Houphoet Boigny International Airport, personally led by his Ivorian counterpart, Alassane Ouattara", says CIPRA, in a statement to which VerAngola had access.

Also in Côte d'Ivoire is Téte António. The minister arrived in the aforementioned country on Tuesday morning, where he was received, at Félix Houphouët Boigny International Airport, by Wotabola Ouattara, minister delegate of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Integration and Ivorians Abroad.
