The decree now approved, in addition to establishing the value of the national minimum wage at 70 thousand kwanzas, also sets the amount for micro-enterprises and start-ups at 50 thousand kwanzas.
According to a statement from the Presidency of the Republic, to which VerAngola had access, the document also states that "after 12 months from the date of entry into force of the approved diploma, the amount of the national minimum wage is set at 100 thousand kwanzas".
However, the news doesn't stop there. Still within the remuneration domain, "the minimum amount of old-age retirement pension, survivor's pension, disability and old-age allowance is set at 70 thousand kwanzas".
"Old-age retirement pensions, survivors' pensions, disability pensions and old-age allowances, with a value greater than the minimum amount and less than the maximum amount foreseen, are subject to an increase of 25 percent", adds the statement.
Other approvals resulting from the session relate to the Public Administration Digital Transition Agenda 2027 (Agenda Governador.ao). The Council of Ministers gave the 'green light' to this agenda, which aims to "guide the digital transformation of public administration, promoting efficiency, transparency and accessibility of public services".
Luanda was also another of the topics on the table, with the body approving the Luanda Urban Mobility Improvement program.
This document, the note adds, defines the measures to be developed this year and in 2025, aiming to "guarantee security, reduce losses due to vandalism and contribute to mitigating serious mobility problems in the territory".
