The information was provided by Luís Fernando, secretary of the President of the Republic for Institutional Communication and Press Affairs, who explained that the days of the visit are scheduled for Thursday and Friday.
"The President of the Republic, João Lourenço, will visit the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire in the next few days, at the invitation of his counterpart President Alassane Outtara. The departure for Abidjan will take place tomorrow, Wednesday, 26 June, and the days of visit will be namely the 27th and 28th, that is, next Thursday and Friday", said the secretary, quoted in a video released by CIPRA and which VerAngola had access to.
During his working visit, he said that the head of state will have "a program filled with several different moments, ranging from conversations" with the Ivorian side, both in delegation and alone.
João Lourenço's agenda also includes "visits to expanding industrial areas, an official dinner", as well as the signing of cooperation agreements, of which there will be at least 12.
Still in Côte d'Ivoire, the President of the Republic will also hold an "interactive meeting with Angolans residing in that country", he said.
According to Luís Fernando, there will also be a moment to "mark the friendship and traditional hospitality" of Africa, which will be when João Lourenço "will receive the keys to the city and will be proclaimed an honorary citizen of Abidjan".
The return of the President of the Republic to Angola is scheduled for Friday afternoon.
