On the occasion, the Secretary of State for Public Health, Carlos Alberto Pinto de Sousa, cited in a statement from the Ministry of Health, to which VerAngola had access, highlighted that "medicine registration constitutes a set of technical-administrative assessment procedures of the medicine for its official introduction into the national market".

Therefore, he said that this new system is expected to speed up the registration of the three groups of priority pharmacotherapeutics.

"We hope that this platform will speed up the registration of the three groups of priority pharmacotherapeutics and consequently we will have an inventory of medicines in circulation in the country", he pointed out, quoted in the statement.

He also appealed to importers to adhere to the medicines registration process in order to "improve the business environment in the sector and thus reduce unfair competition".

According to the guardianship's note, SIREMA has features that allow users to enter "all the entity's relevant data for the purposes of registration in the system".
