Foreign direct investment in Angola reduced by 12 percent in the first quarter

Foreign direct investment in the country fell 12,28 percent in the first three months of this year, compared to the last quarter of 2023, to 2.303 million dollars, according to a note from Banco Millenium Atlântico.

According to the analysis, based on data from the National Bank of Angola, divestment in the oil sector was decisive, as there was a quarterly reduction of 16,51 percent, to 2.170 million dollars.

On the other hand, the non-oil sector received investments totaling 133,5 million dollars, corresponding to a quarterly increase of 398 percent.
