Speaking to Angop, Paulo Sérgio classified this challenge as a "superb opportunity" to progress at a professional level. Thus, he promised to work hard to elevate national arbitration on the international stage.
He also said that he is proud to belong to the "new arbitration elite that is being projected by CAF", and that he will do everything to take advantage of this opportunity.
"I feel proud to be part of the new arbitration elite that is being projected by CAF, so I will do everything to take advantage of this opportunity", he said, quoted by Angop.
The Angolan also referred that he is heading towards the Cosafa Cup with a high degree of physical and psychological preparation, writes Angop.
"I've waited a long time for this invitation from CAF," he added.
Paulo Sérgio was born in Moxico, where he is the promoter of a mass refereeing project. In professional terms, his debut took place in Girabola (first division national championship) in 2015, and his professional career also includes participation in continental club competitions, namely in the Champions Clubs League and the Nelson Mandela Cup, writes Angop.
It should be noted that the 22nd edition of Cosafa will take place between the 5th and 16th of July in the city of Durban, in South Africa, where the national under-20 team will be present. The country, which is part of Group C (made up of Lesotho, Mauritius and Mozambique), has its first game on July 7 against Mozambique.
