According to a note from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Secretary of State for International Cooperation and Angolan Communities, Domingos Vieira Lopes, guided this Tuesday the second meeting of the Interministerial Technical Commission.
The note states that the meeting served "to revisit the terms of reference and the execution plan of the sectoral tasks, with a view to ensuring the success of the summit", which foresees the holding of two parallel events, namely an industrial fair and a lecture.
The fair, called "Semana da Industrialização", will take place in the bay of Luanda, on the 31st of July, for each Member State of the organization to expose its industrial potential, exchange experiences and initiate contacts for partnerships.
"Alongside the fair, a lecture is planned, on the 12th of August, at the Diplomatic Academy "Venâncio de Moura", where the focus will be on the policy and diplomacy carried out by the Member States of this sub-regional organisation", underlines the communiqué.
At this summit, Angola assumes the one-year rotating presidency of SADC, replacing the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRCongo).
SADC comprises South Africa, Angola, Botswana, Essuatini, Lesotho, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, DRC, Seychelles, Tanzania, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
