João Lourenço meets with the World Bank Regional Vice President for Africa

The President of the Republic, João Lourenço, held a meeting this Monday with the Regional Vice President of the World Bank for Africa, Victoria Kwakwa, with whom he discussed aspects related to the partnership between the financial institution and the Government.

According to a note from the Presidency of the Republic, which VerAngola had access to, the hearing took place in Luanda.

"Aspects linked to the partnership between this financial institution and the Angolan Government dominated the meeting", reads the note.

Speaking to the press at the end of the audience, the World Bank executive highlighted the importance of "diversifying the economy as a factor for boosting employment in Angola", the note also refers.

"We talk about the ongoing program of reforms in the country and about the aid program for Angola to leverage its human capital in order to make it a State with a more productive economy", said Victoria Kwakwa, quoted by Angop.

It should be recalled that this Monday the Government and the World Bank signed an agreement worth 300 million dollars for the Project to Accelerate Economic Diversification and Job Creation.
