TAAG reinforces connection between Luanda and Lisbon with Airbus A330 for three months

Linhas Aéreas de Angola (TAAG) contracted an Airbus A330 aircraft from HiFly that will make the Luanda-Lisbon-Luanda connection, starting on June 15 and for three months, when the maintenance work of the carrier's international fleet will take place.

:

According to a company statement, the Airbus A330 aircraft will be contracted to HiFly under a 'wet lease' regime, a type of contract that guarantees, in addition to the plane, the availability of the complete crew, maintenance and insurance of the device.

"This decision coincides precisely with the ongoing maintenance work that TAAG is carrying out on part of its international fleet, respectively the Boeing 777-300ER model", continues the note.

This strategy, says the company, "allows the continuity and regularity of the operation on a Luanda-Lisbon connection, which has a lot of demand".

It is a "collaborative solution" and "typical in commercial aviation" that "allows TAAG to ensure coverage of one of the preferred routes with the highest volume of traffic".
