In an announcement published this Wednesday in Jornal de Angola, Castel informs that, as of July 1, it will stop bottling Coca-Cola Company products (now in charge of Refriango) and will start producing and selling the brands from PepsiCo (Pepsi-Cola, 7UP and Mirinda).
Last Saturday, the Angolan group Refriango, linked to Portuguese businessman Luís Vicente, formalized a commercial partnership with the Coca-Cola Company, in an investment of US$29 million that will create 300 jobs.
According to Jornal de Angola, the partnership between PepsiCo and Castel Angola is part of the strategy of expanding and accelerating PepsiCo's business growth.
Castel Angola has been operating in the country since 1994 and is the main beverage company in the country with 10 factories throughout the country, employing more than 7000 workers.
