Handball World Cup: Women's junior national team beat the Czech Republic

Angola faced, this Friday, the Czech Republic, having emerged victorious. In a match referring to the second round of Group E of the Handball World Cup, the national junior women's team of the modality beat the Czech team by 36-25.

With the teams remaining balanced in the initial period of the match, the national team, although it adopted a calm posture, ended up overtaking the opponent on the scoreboard, during the counterattack, writes Angop.

The national team, according to Angop, did not show great urgency in solving the game and, even seeing some of its important players being excluded, ended up going to halftime winning by three points (16-13).

Managing the score, Angola ended up winning the match. A victory that renews hope to qualify for the next stage.

The national team will return to the field this Saturday, where it will face the Lithuanian team, writes Angop.

Remember that Angola lost the first game of this phase against Romania (23-26) while the Republic beat Lithuania by 36-16.

For now, the Angola group is led by Romania, with four points. Angola is tied with the Czech Republic, with both teams having two points and the last place in the table is occupied by Lithuania, with zero points.

The world cup is taking place in Slovenia.
