President of the Republic launches privatization of 13 more industrial units

João Lourenço authorized the privatization of another 13 industrial units, in the form of asset disposal, according to a presidential order consulted by Lusa.

The units, in the Luanda-Bengo Special Economic Zone, include aviaries, steel and metalworking industries, roofing and beams industry, agricultural irrigation pivots, meters and electrical appliances, as well as container storage areas (passage and logistics).

The Government has already raised 919.84 billion kwanzas with privatization contracts for 88 assets and companies, of which 534.97 billion kwanzas have been allocated.

By the end of the year, the Privatization Program (Propriv) plans to complete around 44 processes: in the financial sector, namely Banco Caixa Geral de Angola and the Angolan Debt and Securities Exchange (Bodiva), in telecommunications, TV Cabo .

The privatization, in industry, of the fourth phase of the assets of the Special Economic Zone, Secil Lobito - Companhias de Cimento do Lobito and industrial units of the CIF Universe, in the construction of Mota-Engil Angola, and in the agro-industry, the Fazenda de Sanza Pombo and Cubal Enterprise - Cubal Corn Flour Factory.
