Cited by Angop, the official informed that the government of that province created the conditions that made possible the successful arrival of the equipment to the Malembo plain (where the refinery will be built).
In addition, he also informed that "great efforts" were made and that they will continue with a view to ensuring that the resources reach the site "without constraints": "There were great efforts and we will continue on this path so that all the equipment at the Cabinda can reach the site without constraints".
He added that it is "an infrastructure that will employ and solve a large part of the glaring lack of employment for young people in the region."
It should be noted that the pieces began to arrive, on Sunday, at the project site. The equipment was unloaded at the Port of Ponta-Negra (Republic of Congo), having crossed the Massabi border in Angola and taken to the site of the future refinery, in an act that was attended by Guilherme Pereira.
Thus, according to Faustino Conde Pongo, member of Sonangol's Executive Committee for Refining and Petrochemicals, also quoted by Angop, the distillation tower is already in Malembo, among other materials to start the first stage, and in about two weeks begin to be assembled and that after the tower is installed, other equipment is expected to arrive that are still in short supply.
