Angola Innovation Summit is back to “Think about the future today!” with guests from seven countries

“Think of the future today!” is the theme of the second edition of the Angola Innovation Summit, which returns in 2021 with 15 speakers from seven countries. Angola, Portugal, USA, Nigeria, Georgia, United Kingdom and Sierra Leone will be present at what is “the biggest innovation event of the PALOP”, taking place between 26 and 30 July.

The event aims to be a space dedicated to innovation and competitiveness, providing participants with access to specialized knowledge, sharing experiences, visibility and networking, with the aim of promoting awareness of innovation as a key factor for the competitiveness of companies and for development countries, in different dimensions, refers to a communiqué that VerAngola had access to.

As in the last edition, the event will be 100% digital and will discuss issues related to building the future supported by technology and innovation, its impact on the competitiveness of companies (and other organizations) as well as on the economy of the PALOP countries, in particular of Angola.

From the 26th to the 30th of July, the Angola Innovation Summit (AiS) will have four areas of action, namely Conference, International Certification Bootcamp in Future Foresight, Masterclass and Product Ramp.

During the event, it is intended to connect specialists, business leaders, policy makers, academics, entrepreneurs and investors without geographic limits, and to give visibility to technological and innovation ideas and projects.

During the event, the Masterclass and Bootcamp for International Certification in Future Foresight will take place, given by the Global Innovation Management Institute, in New York, and the presentation of technological products from different companies, including American companies.

Startups will present their solutions to the market at the Product Rampa, it is also expected that the best ideas/startups will have the opportunity to participate in a special session with representatives of Venture Capital from Angola, England and Portugal.

On the 29th, the Opening Session of the Conference will be in charge of the Minister of Economy and Planning, Sérgio Santos. The Closing Session of the Conference will be held by the Secretary of State for Telecommunications and Information Technologies, Mário Oliveira, on the 30th of July.

The presence of Marcos Souto, IMF Representative in Angola, Tomi Daves, President of the African Business Angels Network, Felisberta Jesus, General Manager of MSTelcom, Patrick Mcilwee, CEO of Shadowsec Group, Miguel Ferreira, Senior Consultant of IT Infrastructure & Security at Asseco Pst, among others.
