Team captain Eduardo Fernando Mingas admitted that the coach asked the team for "total delivery" and considered that the games in Kaunas will not be easy.
"Our delivery has to be total. The coach has asked us for more delivery, more concentration on defense to then come out on the counter-attack for us to do better in the game," he said, speaking to Rádio Nacional de Angola (RNA).
Acknowledging that the team knows it will play against "two very strong teams that are candidates to the medal", Eduardo Mingas said that the national team will have to give its "best and do its best" so that it can "first balance, compete and maybe win the game".
The national team coach, Pep Clarós, made a positive balance of the training camp and said he was confident in the team's capabilities.
"Positive, in terms that we have been working well. We are evolving the things we need in physical terms, in terms of aggressiveness, in terms of intensity and in terms of desire to do more things," he said, also in statements to RNA.
Admitting that the tactical level the team is still "far" from what he would like, the coach considered that when the "team competes, when the team believes" there are always options, recognizing that the 'Palancas Negras' will have options if they believe they can fight.
