According to the National Assembly's institutional communications department, “everything is being done to guarantee security, reliable navigation and quality parliamentary content” for portal users.
Currently, the site only displays an apology message indicating that it is undergoing maintenance.
According to posts shared on social media, the cyber attack was announced on the institutional portal by the hackers themselves, the CyberTeam group, which calls itself the “Cyber Army of the Community of Portuguese-Speaking Countries”.
The group, which claims to have accessed the systems of the National Assembly of Cape Verde and invaded other Angolan institutions, such as the Ministries of Finance, Interior or the National Institute of Statistics, claims that the objective of the action was just “fun”.
