The partnership allows the Medicare health plan to be tailored to Standard Bank Angola customers, providing a range of health and assistance services through the bank's website, as well as some benefits provided by partner entities in the Medicare network, accessible through the website www.medicare.ao.
"We are celebrating yet another strategic partnership that will provide our customers with a range of solutions that go beyond financial products, adding value to our banking offering. In addition to strengthening our relationship with customers, this protocol signed with Medicare will enable us to increase the number of people signing up to health plans through a simplified payment model, such as monthly debit from the account, and with non-financial solutions and a range of partners that are relevant to our customers' consumption", said Cláudia Viana, executive director of SBA.
The Standard Bank Kuida by Medicare Health Plan includes: six months of free membership to the plan; discounts of up to 50 percent on health and well-being services; free video consultations and a second international medical opinion (VIP plan); additional benefits available on the bank and Medicare websites; free airport transfers and use of the VIP lounge; free medical and dental services and free access to the Medicare Club.
The partnership also includes the facility of payment by direct debit, which contributes to more efficient management, for just 33,250 kwanzas per month for six dependents.
"Standard Bank is one of the leading institutions in the national banking sector and is a partner that allows us to obtain significant added value. This partnership will provide Standard Bank customers with quality health and well-being assistance and services, at reduced prices and advantageous conditions. At Medicare, in addition to the 100 percent free services of our health plans, we have tailored solutions, with a commitment to guarantee the highest quality standards and improve access to healthcare for customers", stated Pedro Pinto, country manager of Medicare Angola.
According to Lavínia Rodrigues, Director of Insurance Banking at SBA, "this partnership is in line with one of the bank's goals, which is to improve and positively impact the lives of its people (clients), ensuring a good experience and promoting well-being. This is a benefit that, initially, we will offer to clients in the Private and Prestige segments, who will now have access to a vast medical network and discounted medicines, both in Angola and abroad".
The protocol "strengthens SBA's position in its mission to be more than just a bank, which not only ensures the best private banking offer in Angola, but also provides differentiation in the banking market, by reinforcing the value proposition for clients, especially within the VIP Angola/Portugal network", concluded Lavínia Rodrigues.
