With Gaspar Martins, nine of the 11 members of the previous board of directors were reappointed.
Sebastião Gaspar Martins joined Sonangol in 1980 and was executive director of Sonangol between 2017 and 2019, the year in which he became president of the Board of Directors.
He has a degree in Mining Engineering, in the Petroleum option, from Agostinho Neto University, and did international internships at Instituto Enrico Mattei, from Agip, Cabinda Gulf Oil Company, and Berlitz School, Houston, (USA).
President João Lourenço also changed his Agriculture Industry team. His Secretary of State for Agriculture and livestock, João Bartolomeu da Cunha, will assume the same position in the Forestry sector, until now belonging to André de Jesus Moda, appointed non-executive director of Sonangol.
Castro Paulino Camarada is the new Secretary of State for Agriculture and Livestock, while Ivan Prado leaves Industry to make way for Carlos Manuel de Carvalho Rodrigues.
