Tomás Faria says that this edition of Girabola was the most balanced in recent years

Tomás Faria, president of the already champion Petro de Luanda, said that the current edition of the national football championship was the most balanced in recent years.

:

The director pointed to the investments made by the competing teams as proof of what he defends, especially from the point of view of betting on young players, which, in his point of view, brought greater balance to the competition and better sporting quality.

Likewise, he referred to the balance in relation to the top two on the league table, with Petro de Luanda lifting the trophy only on the penultimate round, with 69 points, while 1.º de Agosto, who are second, with 60, could shorten the distance in case of victory over Interclube this weekend, as the two-time champion will not play due to schedule.

In 29 games for Girabola, Petro added 23 wins and three draws, against six in the previous season.

Petro, who secured the title one day from the end of the competition, remains the most titled team in Angolan football, with 17 championships conquered.
